Where can an AI agent find KiCad symbols, footprints and 3D models?

The Adom Wiki has more than 20,000 hardware pages for people and AI agents to search. A component page holds the symbol, footprint, 3D model and datasheet for one manufacturer part number. Collect the parts you need in a Cloud Library and export it as a KiCad library. If Adom Bridge is running, the export installs straight into KiCad.

What a component page includes

Take TPS61220DCKR, a Texas Instruments boost converter:

  • A pin table extracted from the manufacturer’s datasheet, with each pin’s name, type and function.
  • The symbol, footprint and 3D model, viewable in the browser. For this part they come from KiCad’s official libraries.
  • STEP and GLB files of the 3D model, including a laser-etched version.
  • The datasheet, the LCSC part number, and live stock and pricing when you’re signed in.
  • A provenance section that records where each file came from and the result of checking the pins against the footprint.

The Exports to badge on each page shows which formats the part is available in: KiCad, Fusion 360 and Altium.

Get parts into KiCad

  1. Search the wiki by manufacturer part number.
  2. Click Add to Cloud Library on each part you need. A Cloud Library is your own parts list, and you can keep several.
  3. Export the library. With Adom Bridge running, the parts install into KiCad and both library tables are registered for you. Without it, you download a zip with the symbol library, footprints, 3D models and library-table entries.
  4. Read the export report. It lists any part that was skipped and any detail the target format can’t hold, so you know what to review before fabrication.

If a part’s page offers a package release, an agent can also install it from a terminal with adom-wiki pkg install <owner>/<name>, using the owner and name from the page’s address.

Report or fix a part

Every page is a git repository. If a pin or footprint is wrong, use Report an issue on the page or open a pull request with the datasheet reference, and everyone using the part gets the fix. How do I share electronics components, apps and AI skills with my team? covers publishing your own parts.
